CVH needs more staff for safe, quality care!

On Tuesday March 2nd, 1199ers from CVH gathered in front of Battell Hall to send a message to the State of Connecticut: We need better staffing to provide quality care to our patients and the community.

MIDDLETOWN — Connecticut Valley Hospital nurses, mental health assistants and social workers belonging to SEIU Local 1199NE rallied Tuesday at the state-run hospital for psychiatric and addiction services to protest staff shortages and accompanying forced overtime they said does not save the taxpayers money.
